Lanterns and Lamps
Liquid-fueled lanterns are generally wind proof whereas plain lamps are usually for the home. The Tilley and Coleman companies are famous lantern manufacturers from opposite sides of the world. Aladdin is similarly famous for a wide variety of beautiful indoor lamps. There are many other manufacturers as well. I generally like the pressurised lanterns best as they are often more demanding to restore. All require great care in lighting and all parts including valve washers and safety features must be in good order. Even lighting or refuelling them can be very dangerous, so proper instruction is required along with the correct fuel.
Australia had a number of manufacturers after WWII and now only one remains; Austramax (centre bottom row). Coleman in the USA and a few other makes from other countries are still manufacturing these beautiful lights.
