Australian Climbing Museum
In 1974 Iain Sedgman started the museum to preserve old Australian climbing gear. The museum has a wide variety of early climbing gear including formerly in-situ pegs and nuts from early famous climbs.
Since the 1970's many climbers, some famous, some infamous and some your Jo Average have generously and kindly donated pieces or sometimes their collection of several items for this ongoing project.
I acknowledge all donors where anonymity is not requested.
I can arrange the collection of old gear from interested donors when you are next at Mt Arapiles. Thank-you.
